Joseph Schwertl possessed Schloss 53 and Schloss 202. He was a baker well-familiarized with the black market in Munich living at Fürtenstrasse 8/10. Joseph Brandl (Holzstrasse 32, Munich). confirmed that Schwertl held the two Schloss paintings and many others from the Führerbau.
