Variant 3 - Lefranc’s April 18, 1943, version of the Banque Jordaan’s efforts to conceal Jewish assets in its vaults Lefranc indicated that he had incontrovertible proof that the Banque Jordaan was cloaking Jewish assets. According to him, the bank held hundreds of millions of francs worth of gold and shares owned by Jews. He also warned that the paintings would not fare well at the castle and intended to challenge the current laws on the disposition of Jewish assets.
