Variant 1 - The green light was given to send the Schloss collection to Paris. Edmond Favier and Jean Petit met in the morning with Préfet Musso in Tulle. Petit informed the préfet that he had become “administrateur provisoire” of the Banque Jordaan. The préfet contradicted him and said that Lefranc was the administrateur provisoire. Petit explained that Lefranc had appointed him to be his deputy in his absence. Petit also stated that he was waiting for Laval’s instructions before ordering the transfer of the paintings to Paris. He also pointed out that a number of paintings had been found at Veyres-Perie, a storage place at Tulle.
