Tense moment at OBIP in Paris regarding a notification dated 2 May 1965 from Swiss officials regarding the likely presence of a Schloss painting on Swiss territory. French officials were concerned that the Swiss notification could jeopardize the global agreement regarding the Schloss losses passed between France and Germany if there was a push to locate this painting outside West Germany. »
