Police Inspector Louis-Marie-Charles Liénard and his superior, Police Judiciaire officer Ducher, accompanied Joseph Angerer, Reich State Minister, a Dr. Schmidt and Mr. Schweitzer, an interpreter, in a search of the late Lucie Haas Schloss’s “hôtel particulier” at 38, avenue Henri Martin in Paris where, instead of paintings, they only found empty frames.
