SCVM requested compensation reimbursement for restituted paintings

The director of the SCVM (Service central des ventes du mobilier de l’Etat) at the French Ministry of Finance informed the director of the OBIP that the Schloss heirs will be entitled to come into possession of the restituted paintings only if they reimburse the French treasury the sums that they received as compensation for their losses. In this instance, they recovered seven paintings and reimbursed 833.065 Francs to the French government.
