Proclamation of the “statut du Juif” by Vichy regime

Vichy France’s government issued its first proclamation (“statut du Juif”) providing a “legal definition” of Jews and their status in Vichy France. This document enshrined the antisemitic racialist and nationalist inclinations of the French collaborationist government.
