Note from Bundeamt to French Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding missing Schloss paintings

The French Ministry of Foreign Affairs was notified that the Federal Bureau (Bundesamt) had failed to find missing Schloss paintings. If the parties involved wished to end the restitution procedure for these paintings, the French Government should consider the matter as privately settled, subject to a reopening of this procedure if missing paintings are subsequently identified.
