Non-aggression pact signed by Germany and the Soviet Union

Also known as the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact, Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union signed on 23 August 1939 a non-aggression agreement and a secret codicil dividing which partitioned sections of Eastern Europe into spheres of influence between the two European powers.
