Meeting between Lefranc and Darquier de Pellepoix

Lefranc’s version of events on his meeting with Darquier de Pellepoix in Paris on 12 April 1943 12 April: Lefranc met with Darquier de Pellepoix. He argued that the opening of the crates and the identification of its contents had to be done in Paris. Darquier de Pellepoix agreed, provided that the Germans gave their assurance not to intervene against the collection while it was in Paris. The German occupation authorities agreed with these terms in writing.
