The Meissner Galerie was founded by Kurt Meissner towards the end of the 1930s on Zurich’s Heimplatz. In 1950, the gallery moved to Florastrasse and specialized in the sale of paintings and drawings from the XV th to the XIX th century. Meissner also maintained a private collection which remained confidential until 1967. Meissner died in 2004.
