Göpel acquisition of 259 paintings from the confiscated Schloss collection for the Linz Museum

Hermann Voss informed Gerlach that Dr. Göpel acquired 259 paintings for 50,000,000 French francs. He informed Martin Bormann that he agreed with the terms of the acquisition and that payment should occur without delay. He requested that Bormann approve “as a precautionary measure” a loan of 10,000,000 French Francs to that end.
