The Banque Dreyfus inventory was the first inventory of the Schloss collection that was drawn up after the seizure of the collection. It is dated 11 August 1943. The numbers assigned to the paintings are the numbers that we refer to as the French Schloss number. The Dreyfus inventory also included an inventory of the collection of Pierre-Emile Veill, also stored at Laguenne, comprised almost exclusively of 19th and 20th century works. Alain Prévet sent us a scan of the inventory. We also found one in documents which were part of the Lefranc investigation after 1945. Archives Nationales, Z6 series.
