French Government request to the German Bundesamt für Äussere Restitutionen for restitution

In accordance with Articles 1 and 2 of Part 5 of the Convention for the settlement of matters arising from War and Occupation, the French Government had submitted to the Bundesamt für Äussere Restitutionen a request for restitution on behalf of the Schloss heirs. The Bundesamt considered it improbable that further research would yield any additional results and reserved the right to stop the procedure at any time in accordance with Art. 2 - 2nd paragraph, page 3..
