Elisabeth Gertrude Wassenberg was an 18th century painter from Groningen, Netherlands. Two of her paintings, Le visiteur indiscret (Schloss German no. 236/ French no. 281) and La consultation (Schloss German no. 237/ French no. 282) were in the Wassenberg family collection.

According to an article written by A. Wassenbergh in 1947, possibly a member of the painter’s family, during a visit of the author at the Schloss family mansion, Lucie Haas Schloss, the owner of the art collection, highlighted the two Wassenberg paintings.
