The Bureau Central des Restitutions, or BCR, based in Berlin, and part of the French Command in Germany, centralized the declarations of spoliations made to the Office des Biens et Intérêts Privés (OBIP) for the French side and processed the files. Between 1947 and 1949, BCR published the Répertoire des biens spoliés en France durant la guerre 1939-1945 (Directory of property looted in France during the 1939-1945 war).
