Bad Homburg v.d. H. Lucien, Henri, Raymond Schloss and Juliette Weil were briefed regarding the terms of a settlement for 3,812,000 DM. This is a net sum covering compensation claims, in accordance with the Federal Restitution Act (BRÜG) of 19 July 1957 between Lucien Schloss, Henri Schloss, Raymond Schloss and Mrs. Juliette Weil, and the Federal Ministry of Finance in Bonn. The French government was asked to review the offer and to inform the Bundesamt if the restitution request relating to the Schloss Collection has been settled. Dr. Andrae of the Bundesamt reiterated that any new research by the Bundesamt had no chance of success.
