Renaud drove from Paris to Laguenne to speak with and be questioned by inspectors from the CGQJ who were inquiring about the Schloss collection and, more generally, the contents of the vaults of the Banque Jordaan at the Château de Chambon. Renaud fingered the former chairman of the board of Banque Jordaan as the person who facilitated the storage of Jewish-owned collections and other assets at the bank, including masking their true ownership with other names.
