In September 1946 or thereabouts, Franz Kälberer met Otto Kisov, a refugee from East Prussia, who lived at Leopoldstr. 16/II and who dabbled in the black market. It appears that Kisov agreed to “handle the paintings” for Kälberer and kept them at his place.
