Schloss 53—a painting by Dusart—had come into the possession of Joseph Schwertl, a baker well-acquainted with the Munich black market who lived at Fürtenstrasse 8/10. Joseph Brandl (Holzstrasse 32, Munich) confirmed that Schwertl held the Dusart and many other paintings from the Führerbau. Schwertl turned over to the MCCP Schloss 53 and 7 other paintings on 18 October 1948.
