Jean-Louis Titon Laneuville was a French painter, art dealer and art expert. He is known for his portraits of eminent persons of the French Revolution. He was also active as an art appraiser and maintained a personal collection of Old Masters and contemporary French art. Laneuville’s name is mentioned in the provenance of a painting by Caspar [Gaspard] Netscher, entitled Portrait de famille (German Schloss Nr. 161, French Schloss Nr. 188) which later was part of Adolphe Schloss’ collection.
