Edmé-François Gersaint was a Parisian marchant-merchier (merchant) specialized in the sale of artworks and luxury goods. He was an influential figure in the French art market.

He is mentioned as the auctioneer in the sale of Angran Vicomte de Fonspertuis on 3 March - April 1748, where the painting “Flora” by Govert Flinck then attributed to Rembrandt was sold.
