The Commission for the Compensation of Victims of Spoliation (CIVS) was established by a 1999 decree and is attached to the office of the Prime Minister. The commission intends to assist victims of spoliation or their heirs and to ascertain measures for reparation, restitution or compensation. Artworks claimed with the CIVS must be listed in the Musées Nationaux-Recuperation (MNR). For more information, please see: http://www.civs.gouv.fr/. Accessed 3 June 2021.
