Franco-German raid on the Bacri gallery in Paris
Police Inspector Louis-Marie-Charles Liénard and his superior , Police Judiciaire officer Ducher, Mr. Jeanneteau, one of Liénard’s colleagues, accompanied Joseph Angerer, Reich State Minister, a Dr. Schmidt and Mr. Schweitzer, an interpreter, entered Mr. Bacri’s gallery, 141 Boulevard Haussmann, and found only empty frames. Dr. Schmidt removed a small chest containing playing cards and tokens.
