The Hamburger Kunsthalle is an art museum in the German city Hamburg, and one of the largest in the country. The museum consists of three connected buildings, dating from 1869 (main building), 1921 (Kuppelsaal) and 1997 (Galerie der Gegenwart). The name Kunsthalle dates back to 1850 when the museum was originally an ‘art hall’.  For more information, please see: https://www.hamburger-kunsthalle.de/en. Accessed 2 June 2021.
