The collection Madame Maur is mentioned in the provenance of the painting Une femme enleve un longue manteau bleu d’un homme, habille en marron by Pieter Brueghel, as recorded in the entry: Franz Kleinberger, Paris, gift to Madame Maur, 27 January 1910. Initial research could not verify the identity of the name Madame Maur in relation to collecting Dutch and Flemish seventeenth century paintings.
