Judicial Police Inspector Liénard placed his investigative skills at the disposal of the German authorities. Hermann Göring’s agents like Joseph Angerer used him to go after Jewish collectors and their objects. He devoted part of his time from 1940 to 1942 to finding the Schloss collection.
