Nicolaus Sambo [Zambo] was a Hungarian-born house painter who lived at Thalkirchenerstr. 21, Munich. He stole a Brouwer painting (Schloss 33) from Otto Kisov and threatened to kill him if he spoke to the police. KRIPO agents seized it in 1946, following a tip by Edgar Breitenbach.
