Imre Szekely, a “Hungarian DP art dealer”, sold Schloss 117 and Schloss 58, around Easter 1947 to Alfred Otto, Kolbergstr. 17, Munich. Otto then sold them to Alex Gebhardt, Lenbachplatz 1, Munich in early fall of 1947 or thereabouts. Alex Gebhardt surrendered the paintings to the MCCP, 10 October 1947.
