Galerie Brame was established by Henri-Clément Brame in the 1860s and was located on the rue Laffitte. During Brame's early years in the art trade, he frequently participated in joint ventures with the dealer Paul Durand-Ruel (1831-1922), and soon become known as a proponent of the Impressionists.
