    Otto Kisov was described as “an elderly refugee from East Prussia who earned his living on the black market. He lived at Leopoldstr. 16, Munich. He convinced Franz Kälberer to leave several paintings with him, one of which was Schloss 144. He eventually passed it off to Hans Kreuzpaintner. The other painting that he held, a Brouwer (Schloss 33), was stolen from him by Nicolaus Sambo.
