A number of crates containing paintings from the Schloss collection were removed from the Banque Jordaan vaults at the Château de Chambon where they had been kept since August 1939. They were brought to a storage facility called Garde-Meubles Veyres-Petrie in Tulle, several kilometers from the castle. The crates included paintings by Rembrandt and Caspar Netscher.
