Edgar Breitenbach obtained the testimony of Wolfgang von Dallwitz, Biedersteinstrasse 21, Munich, who asserted that he had seen the painting together with two other Schloss paintings (Schloss 3, Schloss 8) in mid-November 1947 at “the apartment of a friend in Munich.” They had been sent presumably by Dr. Irwin Sieger from a railroad depot in Göttingen.
