Cornelius Postma submitted his appraisal of the Schloss collection to Lefranc. In his letter, he indicated that he had appraised 320 paintings with the help of Bazin and Huyghe. He, Bazin and Huyghe all agreed that 21 paintings had dubious attributions, a view later endorsed by Göpel and Lohse. This group included works by Rembrandt (4), Brouwer (2), Frans Hals (2), Velazquez (1), and Rubens (1).
