    Variant 2 - Darquier de Pellepoix monitored very closely the events leading to the location of the Schloss collection. He was regularly kept informed by various police agencies in Nice and Marseille and issued orders accordingly. A warrant was executed on the afternoon of Saturday 10 April to locate the crates at Laguenne. 16 were found, 4 of which contained the Schloss paintings.
