Bruno Lohse sent a proposal to Hermann Göring via his secretary, Gisella Limberger, echoing Jean-François Lefranc’s suggestion to authorize the payment of commissions to motivated Frenchmen as a reward for betraying the location of Jewish collections. “The sooner the better. After all traitors need to be paid”, Lohse wrote to Goering.
