Deportation train (convoi) 1 to Auschwitz

On 27 March 1942 1112 men from the camps of Drancy and Compiègne, many of whom had been rounded up in the spring of 1941 by SD and SIPO agents comprised Deportation Train 1 to the extermination camp of Auschwitz. Many of them were French citizens.
