Martin Schubart was a theologian and noted art collector, whose prominent assemblage of Dutch Old Masters was catalogued by Cornelis Hofstede de Groot in 1894. Shortly after Schubart’s death in 1899 his collection was auctioned off with Hugo Helbing in Munich. Lot Nr.** **70 is a work by Dominicus van Tol, _La consultation_ _(The Consultation)_, which later became part of the Adolphe Schloss Colle
