Hans Wetzlar was a German collector. He began collecting in the 1930s in Amsterdam, primarily Dutch 17th century paintings and from the Northern schools. Art historian Max Friëdlander (1867-1958) was an acquaintance of Wetzlar. Wetzlar is mentioned in the provenance of Three men in the inn by Gerard Terborch (Schloss German no. 213/ French no. 254), he owned the painting in 1952. <https://rkd.
