The collection of the father and son – Prince Eugène-Rose de Beauharnais, Duke of Leuchtenberg and Prince of Eichstätt (1781-1824) and Duke Maximilian Eugen August Herzog von Leuchtenberg (1817-1852) – is linked to the Schloss Collection through a painting by Hendrick Maertensz Sorgh, _Repas de paysans_ (_Peasants' Meal)_. However, it is unclear exactly how and when Schloss acquired the painting.
