Henry Schloss indicated collection value

In a reply to Mr Salley (Office des Biens et Intérêts Privés, Service des Spoliations), Henri Schloss indicated that the collection was given in 1939 an insurance value of twelve million francs. The value did not factor in the damage for the family resulting from the non-restitution of their collection.
