Nephew of Ludovico Gaetano Bertalazzone, Conte d’Arrache, he inherited the art collection of his uncle which was up for auction in Paris on 28 February - 1 March 1859.
He is mentioned in the provenance of the painting Vénus tenant Cupidon par la main by Jan Gossaert (Schloss German no. L18/ Fench no. 86).
