Mr. Combes

Combes was the commissaire principal of the Limoges police force in 1943. He organized, at the request of the prefect, a clandestine surveillance of the truck that brought the confiscated Schloss collection to Limoges in order to ensure that it delivered the paintings to the Banque de France.
