&lt;p&gt;&lt;b&gt;New page&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;div&gt;French art collector and a wealthy banker at the Court of King Louis XV. He had a large and well-known collection of artworks and books. He owned _Bohemian _by Frans Hals (Musée du Louvre) and Hans Holbein’s ''The ambassadors'' (National Gallery, London).&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Nicolas is mentioned in the provenance of the painting ''Portrait de famille'' by Caspar Netscher (Schloss German no. 161/ French no. 188). Sold at his sale on 25 April 1787 in Paris.&lt;br /&gt;
