Jacques worked as a painter in Antwerp. After the death of his first wife he went to the Dutch Republic were he continued his career as a painter and became an art dealer. His collection was sold after his death on 17 July 1747.<br /> <br /> He is mentioned in the provenance of the painting “Le Chirurgien” by Isaak Koedijck (Schloss German no.
