In 1912, Gans donated his antiquity collection to the Königlichen Museen Berlin. As a gesture of thanks, he was elevated to Prussian nobility. In 1917, Gans donated two paintings to the Städel. His collection was auctioned off after his in 1920.&lt;/div&gt;</summary>
