His private collection held 40 old Dutch Masters and 14 modern paintings, among other artworks. In 1886, Jules de Brauwere produced a catalogue entitled “Collection Niesewand: catalogue de tableaux anciens appartenant a M. le Baron Eduard von Niesewand” (https://www.rct.uk/collection/1154549/collection-niesewand-catalogue-de-tableaux-anciens-appartenant-a-m-le-baron).&amp;lt;br /&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;
