Hofstede de Groot is mentioned in the provenance of the painting ''View on a lake with rising thunderstorms'' by Jan van Goyen. He owned the painting since 1902 and bequeathed it to the Groninger Museum. Adolphe Schloss owned the painting between 1894-1902.&lt;/div&gt;</summary>
